Step-by-Step Nail Art Thursday - Green, Gold, and Rainbow Nails for St Patrick's Day 2017

Nothing to Disclose

Hello lovely readers! For today's Step-by-Step Nail Art Thursday I have an all-indie manicure to celebrate St Patrick's Day 2017.

For this manicure, I combined some classic St Patrick's Day elements: green, gold, and rainbows! Below is a closer look at all of the components.

The Green
For the green, I used Yule Thank Me Later by Pretty & Polish. I used this beautiful green and blue duochrome on my index and middle finger.

The Gold
For the gold, I used Spike my Cider also from Pretty & Polish. I used this warm gold holo with gold micro glitter on my pinky.

The Rainbow
I wanted to recreate a glittery abstract rainbow that would complement my green and gold polishes. To do so, I started with 2 layers of Drunk on Holo by Painted Polish by Lexi (originally reviewed here). I top coated polish and waited for the polish to be completely dried before moving on to the water marble.

For the water, I used several holographic polishes from Indigo Banana. I am no water marble expert, but I suggest you use a barrier (latex works great) around your finger so that you can easily remove excess polish. I also suggest you use a small glass (disposable Dixie cups work great) and distill water for the best results.

The Final Look
To complete the look, I used a dotting tool and Yule Thank me Later to draw a litter 4-leaf clover over Spiced Cider. I sealed the look with a layer of glossy top coat.

    1. Her pictures look great to me, they are actually the standard pic size for Blogger blogs. If you are having issues seeing the details, try clicking on them to see them in a larger size.

  7. I love how you've water-marbled the accent nail. I tried watermarbling a couple of times but the mess was a bit much.
