Hello lovely readers! I am excited to share with you swatches and review of American Dreams and Raspberry Rocket, my first polish by 5-free indie polish maker Mod Lacquer.
In total, there are 8 polishes in this collection: Orchid Chiffon, Dero, Bauhaus Blue, Baby Flamingo, Golden Sunbeam, Apollo’s Landing, American Dreams, and Raspberry Rocket. Today I am swatching American Dreams and Raspberry Rocket.
Perfection! Not too thin, not too thick! Just the right amount of polish clings on to the brush and it glides over your nails as it self-levels effortlessly. And this is true for both polishes!
This polish is just perfect! It reminds me of Prosecco by SinfulColors because of the golden flakes and the consistency. It is not a crelly or jelly but it looks just as juicy! Under the bright artificial light is looks a bit orange, but the color is a bright Campbell Soup red. Shown below are 2 coats plus top coat.
This polish is another beauty with great formula. The name describes the color perfectly. It is a raspberry polish with blue micro shimmer and micro holo. The shimmer and holo finishes are very subtle under my artificial daylight bulb. Shown below are 2 coats plus top coat.
Overall, these polishes are stunning and the formula is outstanding. American Dream is now one of my top 5 favorite polishes. It also reminds me of Zoya Aphrodite, but I do not own it so I will report back once I get it.
These and other polishes from the Mid-Century Mod collection currently sell for $6.95 at ModLacquer.com and will not be restocked once they sell out.
As always, thanks for reading and feel free to comment below!
