Indie Swatch and Review - Holo Neon Jellies by Polish Addict Nail Color

Purchased by me**

Hello lovely readers! I am not quite over Summer nor over neons quite yet! Therefore, I bring to you the holographic neon jellies from by 5-free indie polish maker Polish Addict Nail Color (PANC).

This line of neon jellies with scattered holo was released this year from 2014 and is comprised of 8 polishes: Bikini Bottom, Lime Light, Caution, Kiss a Mermaid, Patrick Starfish, Barbie Code, Sea Witch, and Neon Moon.

Here is a brief overview before I get into the swatches:
  • The formulas varied from lumpy to great (I will get into more details with each individual swatch) and dried to a semi-matte finish.
  • I chose to swatch these polishes over a white base (2 coats on middle and ring finger) and over a clear base (3 coats on index and pinky) to show you how the colors transformed when swatched over white.
  • All of the colors are highly pigmented, yet they did not stained when swatched over base coat.
  • Finally, all of these swatches were taken under artificial lightning and without flash.

Now without further due, lets get this swatch fest started!

Bikini Bottom
This is a true highlighter neon yellow. The formula was bit lumpy but it had one of the strongest holo. Swatch below is shown with top coat.

Lime Light
This is true highlighter neon green. It had the lumpiest formula and the strongest holo. Swatch below is shown with top coat.

Caution
This is true highlighter neon in a pumpkin orange shade. The formula was very nice and glided beautifully as it self-leveled. Swatch below is shown with top coat.

Kiss a Mermaid
This is a darker neon orange. This too had a very nice, self-leveling formula. Swatch below is shown with top coat.

Patrick Starfish
This is a neon dark rose shade and my favorite of the collection! It looks very similar to Kiss a Mermaid but noticeably different over a white base. It also had a very nice formula. Swatch below is shown with top coat.

Barbie Code
This is a true highlighter neon pink. Just like all 3 oranges above, the formula was very nice. Swatch below is shown with top coat.

Sea Witch
This is a neon ‘blurple” shade. The formula was a bit grainy and dried very fast but was not too bad to work with. It also had blue microglitter. Swatch below is shown with top coat.

 Neon Moon
This is a neon cobalt blue. I lied above. This one is my favorite shade! It too had a formula that was a bit grainy and fast drying. However, I only needed 1 coat over a white base and 2 coats over a clear base.

Overall, I love several polishes in this collection. I think that every neon, blue, and orange polish fan will love Caution, Kiss a Mermaid, Patrick Starfish, Barbie Code, and Neon Moon. I also highly recommend applying these over a white base coat plus top coat. A lot of these are still available at PANC and sell for $11.00. Expect a 2-3 weeks for your order to be fulfilled, however.

As always, thanks for reading!

  6. Patrick Starfish reminds me of China Glaze Rose among Thorns. I prefer all of these swatched over white. Thanks for showing them both ways!

  14. I like them over white as well. I think it makes the color pop more! Sorry to hear some had a more difficult formula.
