Mainstream Swatch and Review - Crayola + Sally Hansen Collection (Part 1)

Nothing to Disclose

Hello lovely readers. Today I have the first part of my review of the Sally Hansen + Crayola collaboration collection.

swatches and review of Sally Hansen + Crayola nail polish collection

This Crayola + Sally Hansen collection from the Insta-Dri line recently hit stores and features 12 glossy cremes inspired by Crayola classic colors like Carnation Pink and Scarlet Red. The colors are all vibrant and faithful to the inspirations.

The limited edition caps feature the classic Crayola wavy lines. Everything else, including the classic bottle shape and rounded tip brush remain the same.

Some of the cremes (i.e. white, yellow, and orange) were a bit streaky and required 2 coats for self-leveling. Most cremes, however, had a fantastic formula. The formula is on the thicker side and covered beautifully with just one easy coat. These are highly pigmented, so I do recommend using a good base coat and applying careful to avoid staining your cuticles.

All swatches show two coats plus glossy top coat. Below are polishes 501-507.

501 Wild Strawberry

This red creme is a one-coat perfection.

502 Sunset Orange
This orange creme was a bit streaky, but not too bad.

504 Carnation Pink
This pretty pink shade nailed its Crayola inspiration, and the formula covered nicely in two coats.

505 Dandelion
This bright yellow creme was a bit streaky, but self-leveled after the second coat.

506 Granny Smith Apple

This primary green creme was a bit streaky as well, but self-leveled after the second coat.

507 Cerulean
No issues to report with this beautiful Cerulean blue creme.

I purchased this collection at Meijer and it's now starting to become available at Target. The polishes retail for around $4.00 US.
