Nothing to Disclose
Hello lovely readers! Debuting on the blog today is 3-free, Australian indie polish maker Pretty Serious Cosmetics. Keep reading after the jump for my review of the newest additions to the Well Meaning but Ultimately Quite Awkward Pet Names (WMUQAPN) collection.
Six new bright pastel cremes have been added to the WMUQAPN collection in Spring 2016: Little Duckling, Peachie Poo, Doodle Bug, Cutie Patootie, Flufflykins, and Bunny Foo-Foo. With the exception of Little Duckling, I found the formulas to be very consistent. They are a bit on the thin side (which is good for all of you water marble lovers out there!) and take 2 thin, easy coats for full opacity.
Let's take a closer look below!
This is the mellow yellow crème in the collection. This one goes on a bit streaky, like most bright and neon yellow polishes in my experience. It does self-levels after 3 thin coats, but make sure you allow for some dry time in between coats (2-3 minutes). Shown below are 3 thin coats plus top coat.
Peachie PooThis is a yummy orange creamsicle shade. The first coat goes on a bit streaky but it self-levels nicely after the second coat. Shown below are 2 coats plus top coat.
This is a gorgeous shade of pastel blue. Shown are 2 coats plus top coat.
This is a soft purple with lots of red undertones. Shown below are 2 coats plus top coat.
FlufflykinsThis is the perfect shade of Barbie pink (which I love!!!). Shown below are 2 coats plus top coat.
Ahh, this is probably my favorite of the collection! This is just the perfect mint shade with a formula that will have you reaching out for it all Summer long!
All polishes come in individual boxes. Occasionally, boxes for limited edition collections feature special themes (eg, zombie nail polisher!). These artistic boxes, attention to detail, and great costumer service make Pretty Serious Cosmetics one of my favorite indie brands.
Overall, I looooove this collection! The colors are bright and cheery, and the formulas are great for this color palette. I am seriously considering grabbing a second set because these are fabulous for nail art as well as for pedicures!
The collection officially released this weekend (I purchased them during a pre-sale) and some are currently out-of-stock (Bunny Foo-Foo is sold out, sorry!). These can be purchase from Pretty Serious Cosmetics, which ships to several countries, including the United States ($7.15 / 11 mL bottle). Make sure to follow Pretty Serious Cosmetics on social media because these will be back in stock by the end of June.
Did you get these or are you planning on doing so? I would love to hear from you!
