Hello lovely readers! Today I continue with my summer of everything neon by sharing my swatches and review of ORLY’s Adrenaline Rush Summer 2015 collection.
ORLY has become one of my favorite mainstream polish brands. I love their Sparkle Holiday 2014 collection and their latest release did not disappoint me! The Adrenaline Rush Summer 2015 collection is comprised of 6 cremes: Thrill Seeker, Risky Behavior, Be Daring, On the Edge, Rush the Limit, and Fireball.
This is a bright chartreuse and true highlighter neon shade. The formula is a bit streaky and sheer and looks best over a white base. Shown below are 2 coats over a white base plus top coat.
This is a beautiful magenta shade. This is not quite a highlighter neon shade (and it photographs more pink that what it actually is) but it is still perfect for summer and it nicely complements the rest of the shades in the collection. The formula is very nice and self-levels. Shown below are 2 coats plus top coat.
This is a bright ‘plurple’ shade. This is a trendy shade and we have been seeing it in most neon crème collections this summer. Again, the formula is very nice and self-levels. Shown below are 2 coats plus top coat.
On the Edge
This is a not-so-neon, rich violet (less blue in person) and my favorite in the collection! It also lends itself to year-round use. Again, the formula is very nice and self-levels. Shown below are 2 coats plus top coat.
Rush the Limit
This shade is a bright salmon-coral bleach color and only bleached neon in the collection. The formula is a bit streaky but levels nicely after I applied a top coat. Shown below are 2 coats plus top coat.
This is a reddish coral neon shade with a subtle blue shimmer. Neon red have been very trendy this summer and I am happy to see ORLY included this shade in the collection. The formula applies nicely but it is a bit sheer. Shown below are 3 coats plus top coat.
Overall, I love this collection! The collection would have been perfect if it had included a Barbie pink neon, but On the Edge and Fireball On the Edge almost make up for it!
Do you own this collection? What do you think of it?
As always, thanks for reading and feel free to comment below!
