Hello lovely readers! Step-by-step Nail Art Thursday is back with a hand painted white floral nail design for summer.
Keep reading after the jump for all of the details.
Spring is finally here in my neck of the woods and all I want to do is paint flowers on my nails! For this nail art, I wanted to combine crisp, white flowers with bright colors. I was inspired by a print from prismic-io on Pinterest, but this look can also be achieved with a stamping image that allows for reserve stamping.
Below is a closer look.
The Color Foundation
For this nail art, I started with Spring It On!** on my index and middle fingers and Heather** on my ring finger. Both of these polishes are from Little Nail Girl Lacquer and previously reviewed here. I love how bright and fun Spring It On! is and Heather serves as the perfect neutral to tie the nail art together.
On my pinky finger I used Green Apple Chew from Barielle. I lovely chartreuse shade adds an easy accent nail against the peach and gray, and it's tied into the rest of the look by incorporating it into the flowers.

The Floral Accents
For these, I used mostly white and black acrylic paint. I started with a white base and then used a fine nail art brush to add the chartreuse and black details.

The Final Look
I finished the look with a fast drying glossy top coat.

ReplyDeleteYour flowers are beautiful and a bit abstract, I like that look a lot!
ReplyDeleteI'd never have the creativity to put those colors together - and make them look so terrific!
ReplyDeleteMy stance on nail art in general is "whatevah, I do what I want" no matter what time of year, including florals, haha! This is super cute! I should start using acrylic paints when it comes to nail art rather than trying to keep working with nail polish.
ReplyDeleteThis is so fun and summery... Looks very pretty.. !! Love it.. The polishes on ring and little fingers are complementing the nail art so beautifully..
