Hello lovely readers! Today I am reviewing the new Lid Lingerie Shadow Palette by
NYX Cosmetics.
The Lid Lingerie Shadow Palette was released in early 2017, just around birthday! This new palette is an addition to NYX Cosmetics Lip Lingerie Liquid Lipsticks.
The palette features 6 velvety-matte shadows in neutral shades. The shadows have a nice application and nice color saturation. The texture is on the creamy side, which allows for easy blending.
Despite being a neutral palette, the colors are very versatile. It is a great palette for an office/day-time look, but the smokey shades also work great for a more formal/evening look. A downside of this palette, however, is that some of the shadows may be too nude for those with mocha, olive complexion like myself.
Also worth noting is the use of hydrogenated polyisobutene, is a synthetic oil that is used as a mineral oil substitute. This emollient is commonly found in cosmetics and it is generally safe. I'll discuss sources for this ingredient in a later post.
All of the swatches below were done on my forearm using a makeup brush and without primer.

ReplyDeleteNYX is one of my favorite drug store brands. This kind of low key visually reminds me of the viseart palettes with the simple packaging and large pans.
