Indie Swatch and Review - Doomfire by Baroness X

Hello lovely readers! I am excited to introduce for the first time in my blog the 5-free, cruelty-free and vegan friendly indie polish maker Baroness X. Continue reading after the blog to find out all about group custom Doomfire (pictured below).

Doomfire is a gorgeous purple jelly featuring a beautiful and rare shimmer that is referred to as “unicorn pee” due to its rarity. The shimmer shifts from red to amber and green and can be worn on its own or as a topper. The shimmer is best appreciated in a jelly or less opaque base; therefore, it will require several coats (3 to 4) for it to become fully opaque when worn on its own. You can also wear it as a topper over a dark crème, which enhances the shift.

I chose to swatch it on its own (3 coats over clear base plus top coat) and over several cremes of different colors (2 coats over crème base plus top coat).

Doomfire is offered on its own or as a box that includes a pair of matching earrings, a unicorn ring, and 2 rainbow soap cones.

Overall, I love this polish! I was not able to capture the green shift under artificial daylight, but it is very visible in natural light when worn on its own.
