Hello lovely readers! Debuting on the blog today are the
9-free, vegan and cruelty-free Lakur Enhanced Colour
polishes from LONDONTOWN.
In addition to being a safe alternative, the formula also
contains a blend of vitamins and minerals that promote nail health.
The formulas for the 6 crèmes I received were very
consistent so I will summarize my findings here before I share my swatches. In
a nutshell, the formula is great! Not thin, not thick, just nice! It only takes
2 easy coats for the polish to become opaque and self-level. I also used the Lakur Kur Protective Top Coat (PTC) that
was sent to me.
Now that I have gone over some general and useful
information, how about we go into the swatches?
Chelsea Porcelain
This polish is an off-white crème that is part of the
original collection. It is the only one that was a bit streaky, but not bad at
all for a white polish. Shown below are 2 coats plus the Kur PTC.

Secret Garden Posh
This polish is a jade crème from the original collection.
Shown below are 2 coats plus the Kur PTC.

Lady Luck
This polish is a vampy burgundy crème that is part of the
Fall/Winter 2015 collection. You may need to apply this carefully; otherwise
you may end up with stained cuticles. Shown below are 2 coats plus the Kur PTC.

Glasgow Glamour
This polish features white and pale pink microglitter in a
clear base. This polish is part of the glitter top coat collection. I chose to
sponge it on for a close-o full coverage of effect. The glitter payoff is still
good if you decide to apply by brushing onto the nail. Shown below is a sponged
layer over Purple Reign adding plus the Kur PTC.

Britannia
This is a good glitter topper in a clear base that features
hexes in a variety of sizes. This polish is also part of the glitter top coat
collection. I applied this glitter by brushing onto the nail. Shown below is 1
coat over Beau of the city plus the Kur PTC.

Kur Protective Top Coat
I also received the Kur Protective Top Coat which I put to the test in the best way I could
think of: over a fresh nail stamp! For this nail art I used Lakur Guarded Jewel,
Essie Penny Talk,
the Turn-Turkey-Key stamping plate from Pet’la Plates, and a stamper from Fab Ur Nails. I'm happy to report that
the top coat left a glossy shine with no smearing!

Overall, I love these polishes. The quality of the crèmes is
great and the colors offer a nice array. The name choices are also great and go
nicely with their branding.
What do you think of these polishes? Do you own any or are
planning to get some? I would love to read your thoughts!
