Hello readers! Today I am reviewing La Isla del Encanto, Moonflower Polish's offering for Polish Pick Up (PPU) Dec 2018.
PPU, the monthly indie nail polish e-pop up shop (see here), is back to close up 2018 with an Enchanted Forest theme. Nadia, the indie maker behind Moonflower Polish, is Puerto Rican, and she drew inspiration from the island for her polish.
La Isla del Encanto (Puerto Rico is known as The Island of Enchantment!) was inspired by the Puerto Rican rain forest (El Yunque) and parrot (the national mascot). This is a multichrome polish that shifts from a metallic green to to gray to blue to purple.
This polish stamps beautifully, and the shift can be best captured over dark colors. It also wears beautifully on its own, covering and self-leveling in one to two easy coats.
The swatches below show it on its owns (two coats), as well as stamped over black and white using a soft silicone stamper and stamping plate from Born Pretty Store.
All swatches shown with a glossy top coat.
This post is picture heavy, so don't say I did not warn you!!!!
