Hello lovely readers! I am back with another installment of Manic Beauty Monday with my review of LUSH's Goth Fairy shimmer bar.
I first grabbed this Goth Fairy last Halloween season and it made a comeback in 2017. This seasonal shimmer bar is made of illipe and cupuaçu butters and features a light fruity bergamot and grapefruit scent iridescent shimmer. The bar is approximately 2.5 inches long.
The bar is very buttery but it has a powdery finish that does not leave behind a greasy feeling. You can apply it by either melting a bit in your fingers and then applying onto your skin or by gliding the bar over your skin. I prefer the second method, as the shimmer is more noticeable that way.
Regardless of which method you use for applying, the scent and shimmer are very subtle.

Overall, I really love this cute little Goth Fairy. It provides just a touch of festiveness for Halloween while still being appropriate for work and day time use.
The Goth Fairy is available here (US site) and retails for $7.95/1.0 oz.
Have you used this shimmer bar or a similar LUSH product? I would love yo hear from you!

Looks fun and sounds like a nice scent!
ReplyDeleteHow cute! I didn't know Lush did a shimmer bar, but it sounds like it smells wonderful.
ReplyDeleteSame, didn't know they shimmers. Lovely discovery
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure I can get away with having shimmery skin - I'm so pale, I may be mistaken as a vampire from Twilight. :) HAHA I do love a good LUSH product though!
ReplyDeleteLush makes some of the prettiest items. I bought my blog partner a Lush gc for her birthday since I know how much she loves what they do.
ReplyDeleteThis actually isn't my favorite from Lush but they have so many other items to make up for it.
ReplyDeleteThis is so cute! Shimmer bars are one of my favorite Lush products.
ReplyDeleteI think I need a shimmer bar right now!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cutie! I love lotion bars, and shimmer would be perfect, just not this time of the year.
ReplyDeleteOh wow!!! I love that shimmer!!! This would have been perfect for that all over glitter look I was going for in this year's Halloween costume!

that non-greasy finish is a huge plus, most of these are way too oily. i actually stumbled on this while searching for a concrete volume calculator
ReplyDeleteThe powdery finish sounds way better than the greasy ones Lush usually puts out. Might grab this for when my period tracker tells me I'm due for some extra self-care.
ReplyDeleteThe powdery finish sounds way better than the usual greasy stuff. Might just use it on rainy days while I'm stuck inside checking the weather radar local.
ReplyDeleteI honestly forgot about these shimmer bars, though I remember them being way too subtle for my taste. If you need something that actually shows up, maybe try checking out Download Delta Executor Free instead.
ReplyDeletethe grapefruit scent sounds better than most LUSH stuff, but $8 for something that subtle is kind of a ripoff. might need a heic to pdf converter to save these pics for my folder.
ReplyDeleteI usually love Lush stuff but the shimmer in this is way too faint for me. If you're trying to figure out how much product you're actually getting for the price, use a concrete calculator meters to see if it's even worth the splurge.
