Hello lovely readers! For my last Step-by-Step Nail Art Thursday of 2016, I thought it would be great to share a simple DIY nail art design for the New Year's celebration.
Keep reading after the jump for all of the details!
The Base
For the color scheme, I went with 2 classic shades: champagne and charcoal. And to go along with the glitz and glamour of a fancy New Year's affair, I chose Blinded by Bubbly by Painted Polish by Lexi (ring and pinky fingers) and Fashion Show by F.U.N Lacquer (index and middle fingers, reviewed here).

For the ring accent nail, I stamped a firework image from the Cici & Sisi Christmas 2015 plate using white and gray stamping cremes from Moon Flower Polish* and the original clear jelly stamper. I placed glitters from Open Waters by Reverie Nail Lacquer (reviewed here) around the fireworks, and carried the design scheme over by doing a reverse glitter gradient over my pinky finger.
The Final Look
I finished off the look with a quick drying glossy top coat.
I hope you have fun accessorizing your nails this New Year's Eve and wish you an excellent 2017! Thanks for reading and stay tuned for more of Lacquerexpression in 2017!
