Indie Swatch and Review - Universal Loner and Crown of Queen Victoria by Octopus Party Lacquer

Nothing to Disclose

Hello lovely readers! Today I am thrilled to introduce for the first time on my blog polishes from the 5-free, vegan indie brand Octopus Nail Part Lacquer (ONPL). On today's blog I have Universal Loner from the Fall 2015 Crème a la Mode Box and Crown of Queen Victoria from the Winter 2015 collection.

Universal Loner
This creme is a slightly dusty red with blue undertones. The formula was a tad bit thinner than what I'm accustomed to but nonetheless it applied very easily and self-leveled on its own. Shown below are 2 easy coats plus top coat.

Crown of Queen Victoria
This is a bright silver polish with linear holo. It can be worn on its own or as a topper. It is beautiful when worn on its own, however. I had a little bit of a visible nail line showing through but I certainly did not mind. This too had a very nice formula. No cleaning required when applied carefully! Shown below are 3 easy coats pus top coat.

Overall, I became a fan of OPNL the second the polish touched my nail! I got to try the brand in the latter part of 2015 and I'm hoping to grow my collection in 2016 and for years to come!

OPNL polishes retail for between $10 and $13 US and can be purchased at https://www.etsy.com/shop/OctopusPartyNL.

What do you think of you these 2 polishes? Feel free to share your thoughts!
