Indie Swatch and Review - Summer 2015 Jelly Trio by Reverie Nail Lacquer

Hello lovely readers! Today I have swatches and reviews of the Summer 2015 Jelly Trio by 3-free indie nail polish maker Reverie Nail Lacquer.

I had been wanting to try Reverie Nail Lacquer for some time and this beautiful glitter bomb jelly trio was the perfect excuse to take the plunge. It also came with a free mini polish (a textured polish the a beautiful holo and blue shimmer that made it duochromatic) and a free cuticle stick balm!

The formulas were very consistent for all 3. They applied easily without pulling or pooling in your cuticles. It is best if you first apply a thin layer, let it dry a bit, and then apply a thicker second layer. In addition to the nice formula, the polishes are packed with glitter that is evenly suspended throught so you will be able to achieve the glitter bomb effect with ease. Also worth mentioning is the fact that the high glitter content covered my my nail lines. So without further ado, lets take a look at this pretty lacquers!

Fresa
As the name implies, this is the red shade of the collection. It is packed with hexagonal and circular glitter in various sizes and colors including pink, yellow and mint. the large mint circles are the standout glitter in this polish. Shown are 2 coats plus top coat.

Open Water
This polish is a blue polish packed with hexagonal and circular glitter in various sizes and colors including blue, orange and yellow. The pops of yellow glitter are a great contrast against the blue and they stand out nicely because this jelly is pretty sheer. Shown are 2 coats plus top coat.

Berry Sorbet
I saved my favorite for last! This one is a deep purple jelly packed with hexagonal and circular glitter in various sizes and colors including matte yellow and orange, neon pink, and iridescent pink, blue and green. Again, the pop of yellow against the sheer purple background contrasts nicely and adds a lot of interest. I do have to say that this polish had a longer drying time fro which I recommend letting it set well before applying top coat. Shown below are 2 coats plus top coat.

Overall, I really like this collection. I think is a refreshing departure from the summer neons and all 3 polishes deliver as both jellies and glitter bombs. These also lend themselves to year-round wear, which is a plus!

Let me know what you think of this collection and other Reverie Nail Lacquer polishes and as always, thanks for reading!
