Hello readers and happy 2019!!! My first blog of the year is a review of Atabey, indie polish maker Moonflower Polish's contribution to Polish Pick Up January 2019.
Polish Pick Up (PPU) is the monthly e-pop up shop that offers one-time polishes that are based on a monthly theme. For 2019, PPU and the Indie Pick Up (IPU - see previous review here) will be available at the same time (first weekend of each month). Importantly, you will be able to shop from the same site and you will be able to combine shipping rates (flat rates: $3 US / $5 Canada).
Ok, now back to Atabey! This is a green-leaning teal stamping polish featuring an aurora shimmer that shifts from green to purple to blue. PPU/IPU Januray 2019's theme is Mythology, and Moonflower Polish draws its inspiration from Atabey, a deity known as the Mother Goddess to Tainos (the indigenous Caribbean people).
Like other Moonflower Polishes, this polish can also be worn as a full coverage polish. It takes one to two easy coats to self-level and become fully opaque.
For the swatches below, I show it stamped using a soft silicone stamper from FabUrNails and a stamping plate from Sugar Bubble. I also show a full coverage swatch (2 coats over a base coat). All swatches are shown with a glossy top coat.

Atabey will be available from Jan 4-7 at https://the-pickups.com/ . The polish will retail for $12.50 US and only 75 bottles (15 ml) will be available for pick up.
Let me know what you think of this polish and if it will be making its way to your wishlist!
This product was sent to me free of charge in exchange for my honest review. All opinions expressed are my own.
