Pantone Color of the Year 2017 for Nails - Greenery

Hello lovely readers! Greenery is this year's Pantone Color of the Year for 2017.  As the name suggests, the color was inspired by nature and symbolizes new beginnings. 

Today's post is a suggested nail polish shade for greenery and recommendations for how to transition this shade from winter to spring.

Despite having over 800 bottles of nail polishes, I actually do not own any in the "greenery" shade but I'm Soo Swamped from the 2016 New Orleans collection by OPI comes close enough. 

Green is not a color I naturally gravitate towards but I look forward to adding more of this shade to my collection and I'm excited to see what some of my favorite polish makers may come up with. 

I'm Soo Swamped is a glossy creme with a nice formula and application. Shown below are 2 coats plus glossy top coat.

If you like this shade and you're wondering how to wear this current season, I suggest pairing it with warmer colors. I paired below with OPI I Kneed Sour-Dough, which adds the right amount of red without turning your look into a Christmas manicure! I finished the look by adding OPI Let Me Bayou a Drink, a blushed pearly pink also from the New Orleans collection.

    I own a few greens in this shade - I was a little "side eyeing" the color when it was announced, but you know...it's growing on me. :) It's a fresh color. I love your nail art tips too!

    This is a great shade! I've been looking for the perfect Greenery shade myself. It seems like such a basic color that I should have one in my collection already, but I don't.
