Indie Swatch and Review - Tropical Candy Flowers and Unicorn Symphony by Chaos and Crocodiles

Hello readers! Today I am reviewing 2 polishes from indie polish maker Chaos and Crocodiles. More info right after the jump!

Unicorn Symphony (teal) and Tropical Candy Flowers (light coral) are part of the Once Upon a Unicorn collection from Spring 2015. The collection is comprised of 6 pastel colored holographic polishes and I purchased them from the Chaos and Crocodiles website.

Unicorn Symphony and Tropical Candy Flowers have very similar formulas. The formulas are opaque after 1 coat, are self-levering, and do not pool in your cuticle area, and are on the more viscous spectrum for holographic polishes. A bit more about each polish below!

Unicorn Symphony
This color is my favorite of the 2. It is a minty teal with a medium holographic effect. Shown below are 2 coats plus top coat.

Tropical Candy Flowers
This one I love as well but it is a chameleon! Sometimes it leans more orange and sometimes it leans more pink. As you can see, under my artificial lighting it leans more toward pink. The holo effect is medium as well. Shown below are 2 coats plus top coat.

Overall, I like these 2 polishes! The colors are pretty and the formulas are very nice. The collection however is not terribly unique and I wish the holographic effect was stronger. Still, I am very happy with my purchases. Do you own any of these polishes? I would love to read your opinions!

  1. I've never purchased any of these polishes. I love the fact that they are one coaters and they are really pretty!
